Jesse

Our family was out the other morning, running around and doing various things as the snow literally poured out of the sky. I dropped everyone at home and ran off to Target to get some necessities and to veg out. On the way home my phone rang. I answered it and Kev asked me how long would I be. I told him and he said, "Well, where are you now?"
I told him, but seeing as how Target is approximately 6 minutes away in good weather, my curiosity was peaked, and I asked why he needed to know my exact location.
"Well, it's just that you have Jesse."
I glanced in the back seat. Good God, there she was between the car seats, and poor Henry had been without his gal pal for at least an hour.
I picked up speed, "I'm on my way, " I report.
Blizzard shmizzard, I had to get Henry his Jesse doll.

_______
It's been a tenuous day as Henry is sick again, this time with the flu (darn it, we got the vaccine like we were supposed to and now I feel like Henry got a bum rap), but overall, it was a pretty good day. But I thought all hell was going to break loose tonight when Henry was going to bed and couldn't find Jesse.
Now, this was strange as for the past week if she hasn't been in his arms, she has been within arm's reach, but now we couldn't find her anywhere. Henry handled it with the utmost grace, but I sensed trouble if we didn't find her - and yet, I held hope as she had to be in the house (again, he's sick and this is a sick house and we haven't set foot outside...).
I went downstairs to look for her as I listened to Henry go from room to room calling her name and then saying, "Where is my Jesse doll?"
Sure enough, we found her where he had left her by the toilet when he had used the potty. Whew. Crisis averted, we can all go to bed.
