christmas morning

Henry didn't notice the gifts under the tree on Christmas morning, so we all had breakfast and played in the kitchen until 30 minutes later when he went into the living room and said, "wow". Then we started opening gifts. After he opened the first one, he acted like he was done, so as you can imagine, the morning went slowly. Which was perfectly fine.

Henry received a toy replica of a John Deere tractor - which was a major high point for him, and then later, as if that weren't enough, he was presented with a wagon - so he had to load it up with his tractor and various other toys and stuffed animals, and get pulled around the house. (Since there were roughly 16 inches of snow on the ground, we opted to use the wagon indoors...) Soon enough, I could hear Henry tell Daddy as he was being pulled around the house, "stop. go." "Stop. Go."

Henry made out like a bandit, a wonderful alpaca teddy bear sent from Maine, lots and lots of books, a little choo choo train, wooden puzzles, and the above mentioned - to name a few. A wonderful day all around.
